Charles C. Fritze

Charles Christian Fritze, 90, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Interlude Restorative Suites in Fridley.

He was born November 2, 1930 to Charles and Edith (nee Miller) Fritze.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Dorothy in November 2017.

He is survived by his children Chuck (Pat) Fritze, Larry (Sandy) Fritze, John (Jan) Fritze, Cathy Dunn, Patti (Robert) Froid and Jerilyn (Craig) Brenner, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Also survived by his sister Delores Ernst and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Charley was an avid pheasant hunter, fisherman and enjoyed spending time in his garden and just being outdoors.

He refinished woodwork and furniture, replaced sheetrock and painted and it was known to his neighbors to go to Charley if you needed any tools or help.  He was also really good at cleaning up the grandchildren’s plates from food they left.   His stash of candy was also well known.

His love of shooting clay pigeons was a favorite activity and he loved to teach others how to hit those clay pigeons.  He had many 25/25 scores that he was very proud of.

Charley will be missed by many.

The family appreciates Allina Hospice and GracePointe Caregivers with their devoted care.
