Carol Kay Feldheim, 82, of Cambridge, MN. passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2025 at her home.
She was born November 7, 1942 to Henry and Inez (Anderson) Barker and raised with sister Mary and three brothers Henry Jr., Steven, and Robert.
She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1960. From there she attended Hamline University, Lutheran Deaconess Nursing School, and graduate school. She worked mainly in senior healthcare centers in Minneapolis including Hillcrest Nursing Home and Altercare Inc., which she started along with her co-worker and friend as an adult daycare for families not ready for full-time care. She ended her nursing career at Tealwood Senior Living.
In 1978, she married Shar Feldheim and they, along with a number of well-loved Schnauzers and cats, made their home in Minneapolis until retirement when they returned to Cambridge.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Shar; brother, Henry Barker Jr., sister, Mary Pearson; and sister-in-law, Cathy Barker.
Carol is survived by her brothers, Steve (Ann) Barker and Bob Barker; brother-in-law, Donald Pearson; sisters-in-law, Sandy Prosen, Saeko T. Barker, and Kathe (Phil) Bolinder; along with cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials preferred to the Cambridge Public Library.
Memorial Service 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Cambridge Lutheran Church with Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment in the Cambridge Lutheran Cemetery.
