Hunting 05

Bryan L. Hass

October 4, 1966 ~ March 19, 2021 (age 54)

Bryan Lee Hass, 54, of Mankato, formerly of Isanti died on Friday, March 19, 2021 at his home.

He was born October 4, 1966 in Princeton, Minnesota to Gary and Debra (Grams) Hass.  Bryan grew up in the Isanti area and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1985.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1987 and was stationed at the San Diego Naval Station.  Bryan served in the Persian Gulf War and was honorably discharged in 1997.

He would marry Judith Gomez on May 18, 1991 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Zimmerman.  After his military service, they moved back to the Isanti area where they raised their two children, and would become grandparents to identical twin granddaughters.  Bryan was blessed to have had four sets of five generations in his lifetime.

Bryan was an avid Vikings fan, enjoyed the car races, and each Fall season looked forward to the family tradition of deer hunting with his grandpa, dad and brother.  He liked to go for walks and loved caring for his twin granddaughters. The twins loved him; “Papa” would be the first thing that came out of their mouth when both grandparents came over, what would be almost every day for two years.  He was a very caring and friendly person, always making time to talk to others, even strangers. Bryan made such an unconscious impact on those he met; strangers would become friends.  He made a point to always have the sidewalks shoveled in his neighborhood.

Bryan was preceded in death by his grandparents Edgar and Leona Hass, and Douglas Grams.  He is survived by his wife Judith of Isanti, son Jonathan Hass (Kari Foss) of Isanti, daughter Jennifer Hass (Tyler Kehn) of Mankato, twin granddaughters Talia and Jaida Kehn, parents Gary & Debra Hass, brothers Chad (Mary) Hass, Mike Hass all of Isanti, grandmother Sylvia Grams of Crown, and many other relatives and friends.

At the age of seven, Bryan suffered a severe accident that nearly cost him his life, but his life was extended and for that blessing, all who loved him and cared were grateful for that extension of life.

A Private Family Service will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Catholic Church in Oak Grove.  Interment to follow in Parish Cemetery with Military Honors .

Memorials are preferred to Mark Anderson Ministries, P.O. 66, Cody, WY 82414.  They played an important part in Bryan's salvation.
