Bonnie Lou Doble age 90 of Cambridge, quietly passed away on August 23, 2025, surrounded by her three daughters.
She was born to Loyd and Violet Buffington on August 2, 1935, in Hecla, South Dakota. Bonnie and her family moved to Dalbo, Minnesota when she was young and lived on a dairy farm. She attended school and graduated from the Ogilvie school district.
On December 5, 1953, she was united in marriage to Richard (Dick) Geving. Together they raised three daughters. Dick passed away October 7, 1978.
Bonnie then married Gerald ”Jerry” Doble on December 19, 1981.
Most of her life Bonnie was a bookkeeper and worked at Sundbergs Nursing Home, Krueger and Stake Implement, Braham Federated Coop, and Ace Tack.
Bonnie will always be remembered for her love of all animals, but especially horses. She and Jerry spent many weekends trail riding with their friends and made many trips to Medora and the Black Hills. She also loved her cashmere goats who she spoiled on a regular basis. She was involved in 4H with her daughters as they grew up showing horses and dogs. Her love and support continued as she cheered on her grandchildren in all their activities.
She also loved to cook, garden, sew, and was an avid reader.
After 37 years of marriage, Jerry passed away on September 17, 2018. Bonnie continued to live in the Cambridge area where she enjoyed the many friends she had made over her lifetime. In January of 2025, Bonnie moved to Rosewood Senior Living in Cambridge where she continued to make wonderful new friends.
Bonnie is survived by daughters Debra (Jeff) Mayer, Terry (significant other Jerry) Bakken, and Diane (Micheal) Eklund; seven grandchildren and their spouses, and eleven great- grandchildren.
