Ann Katherine Sullivan, 62, of Hollywood Beach, FL passed away peacefully on July 16, 2023 surrounded by family.
Ann was born March 16, 1961 in St. Cloud, MN, the ninth of ten children, to Robert and Carol Sullivan. She grew up in St. Cloud, MN and moved with her family to Miramar, FL at the age of seven. She attended Miramar High School, then moved back to St. Cloud, MN to raise her children.
On December 31, 1996 she was united in marriage to Brad Vogt at their home in Rice, MN on the Mississippi River. They created their home between Rice, MN and Hollywood Beach, FL, before moving to their Beach House full-time in 2011. Together, Ann and Brad traveled to over 50 countries and enjoyed learning about different cultures.
Ann volunteered at Guardian ad Litem advocating for children’s best interests, believed in forgiveness and redemption, and was passionate about woman’s rights. She enjoyed being involved in her grandchildren's activities, visiting with family, preparing food, and hosting gatherings – especially on the Beach House Patio. She will be remembered for her love of the beach, her witty personality, and her love of dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law Vivian Vogt; brothers: Marty, Tommy, and Peter Sullivan; sisters: Sharon Pearson, Wendy Corley, Megan Sullivan; her beloved niece Alexa Lindquist, and by many dogs she adored.
Ann is survived by her husband Brad Vogt of Hollywood Beach, FL; her devoted children: Andrew (Sara) McKeon of Mound, MN; Shannon (Filip) Gogonis of Davie, FL; step-daughter Rebecca (Ryan) Like of Kauai, HI. She was Grandma Ann and Glady to many, but especially to her grandchildren: Emma McKeon; Niko and Panagiotis Gogonis; Manalau, Ikuawai, and Julia Like; her siblings: Jane (Bill) Brekken of Brainerd, MN, Mary (Jeff) Lindquist of Newberry, FL, and Paul (Rachel) Sullivan of St. Cloud, MN; in-laws: Charlie Pearson, Bob Corley, Lynn Sullivan all of St. Cloud, MN; by many nieces and nephews who will cherish their memories with their Auntie Annie; her precious dogs: Rosa, Lola, Sasha and her cat Sweet Pea.
To honor Ann’s wishes, the family asks for contributions to scleroderma research in lieu of flowers, gifts, or cards.
