Renae M. Carpenter age 48 of Cambridge, MN passed away peacefully on Dec 13, 2019.

Renae was born on June 11, 1971 to Roger and Verla Nelson. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1989. During her senior year she was the Homecoming queen and a lettered athlete in Cross Country and Track & Field. She participated in the State High School tournaments several times. After high school, Renae went to New York to work as a model. She appeared regionally in the Minneapolis City Pages. She also dabbled in oil and acrylic painting; selling her works of art at local art shows and at The Pease Cafe.

Renae was preceded in death by her brother Joel Nelson and both sets of grandparents.

She is survived by her son Tyler Carpenter, grandchildren Avia, Mason and Harper Carpenter, parents Roger & Verla Nelson.

Also survived by her sisters Jeanna Thompson, and Lisa (Jade) West; step-sisters Holly Olson and Lisa (Scott) Johnson and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Renae’s life will be held at a later date when it is warmer, she hated the cold.
