Orvis "Gigi" L.G. (Rardin) Johnson

         Orvis “Gigi” Johnson, 85, of Cambridge, MN, died peacefully October 20th, 2019, at home.

            Gigi was born in Staples, MN, to Leonard and Arietta Rardin on October 10th, 1934, the oldest of 8 children. She graduated from Motley HS, and married Roland J. Johnson October 16th, 1954 in Motley MN.

            Gigi retired at age 58 from the USPS and spent many years doing the things she enjoyed most: traveling, spending time with her family, playing cards and wintering in NV and AZ.

            Gigi was preceded in death by her husband Roland, her parents, sister Wanda and brother-in-law Sonny Knosalla, sister-in-law Diana Rardin and brother Ted.

            She is survived by her five children Brian (Shirley), Carla Nelson (Mike), Charlene Schultz (Curt), Bill, and Brad (Leah), sisters Ellen Benson (Bernie), Pat Flansburg (Richard),

brothers Martin (Lee), John, Lenny, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

            Special thanks to Allina Hospice and Walker Methodist for showing her kindness and love at the end of her life. Gigi’s beautiful smile and polka dot style will be missed by many while she is in the Garden with Jesus.

            Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 16, 2019  from 1-4 PM, with a short service at 2PM at Sunrise on Englund Shores 27821 Bay Shore Dr NW, Isanti, MN 55040.
