Lucile West Obituary

Lucile Lorraine West, 80, of Isanti died on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at the Grandview Christian Home of complications resulting from congestive heart failure.
Lucile was the fourth child of Lucian Oliver. Her mother Lucile Slater Oliver died when she was five. She was blessed with six additional brothers and sisters from Lucian and Ruby Theline Oliver.
Lucile married Arvil W. West on June 13, 1943 at her family's home in Isanti County. They lived the majority of their married life in Isanti, except for a few years at Rush Lake where they enjoyed fishing summer and winter.
Lucile spent the last seven years of her life at Grandview Christian Home where she discovered a whole new life, playing bingo, learning to bowl at 79 and outings with new friends and staff. Lucile adopted many staff members as her sixth daughter.
Lucile raised five spirited daughters (Lucy, Loretta, Carol, Bonnie and Karen) and was a second mother to Jim, Jerry and Sharon who were her double nephews and niece that lived next door. She instilled the values of family, friends, hard work and generosity.
Lucile is survived by her five daughters and their husbands, Lucy (Roger) Lindsay of Cambridge, Loretta (Vince) Peterson of Gig Harbor, WA, Carol (Gary) Rennaker of Walla Walla, WA, Bonnie (Fred) Roe of Isanti, Karen (John) Telstad of Rush Lake. Lucile's grandchildren numbered 12; Tim, Kimberly, Wendy, Kathleen, Gary Jr., Patrick, Ty, Todd, Lee, Brandon, Katti and Martin. Lucile was blessed with 13 great grandchildren; Megan, Kayla, Garrett, Briana, Paul, Daniel, Amanda, Hannah, Levi, Brianna, Talon, Alexi and Kate. Lucile was also survived by two brothers Wayne Oliver of Caldwell, TX, Tom Oliver of Raymond, NE, two sisters Myrtle Pino of Stone Lake, WI, Tootsie Marohn of Coon Rapids, sister-in-law Vivian Oliver of North Branch, and many other family and friends.
Lucile was preceded in death by her parents Lucian and Lucile (Slater) Oliver, Ruby (Theline) Oliver, her husband Arvil West, sister Ellen and her husband Winfred Dixon, brothers Bud and his wife Grace Oliver, Spencer Oliver, Ed and his wife Barb Oliver, nephew Jim Oliver and great grandson Clinton McCoss.
