Florence M. (Yocom) Smith

Florence Meredith Smith, age 93, of Cambridge, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at home.

            She was born May 29, 1926 in Brainerd, Minnesota to Harold and Florence (Kingbay) Yocom.

            Florence volunteered at Family Pathways, the local food shelf and worked at McDonalds in Cambridge, staying active to the end.

            Florence was preceded in death by her sons David and Douglas, and her brothers Harold and Bruce.           

            She is survived by son Harold (Elise) MacKenzie of Fridley, daughters Meredith MacKenzie (Chris London) of Cambridge, and Trina (James) Godfrey of Cambridge, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed.

            Services will be held at  4PM, Friday, November 1, 2019 at Common Ground A United Methodist Community.  Visitation will be1 hour prior to the service at the church.
