Moses Kevin Ruiz, “Kevin”, 31, passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2024 in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. He was born on June 15, 1992, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Raised in the Bryant Neighborhood of South Minneapolis, Kevin was a proud second-generation American, the cherished son of Moises and Johbellka Ruiz from Nicaragua. He was in the Irondale High School Class of 2010 in New Brighton. Later, he moved to Coon Rapids and established his family.
Kevin's zest for life was evident in his love for the great outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he embraced the changing seasons of Minnesota, from boating in the summer to ice fishing in the winter. His passion for adventure extended to hiking with his family and dogs, and the thrill of the open road on his motorcycle, which brought him a sense of freedom.
His infectious humor was a gift to many, as Kevin had the remarkable ability to make anyone laugh until they couldn't anymore. He was the master of jokes and the creator of countless inside jokes that will be cherished by his family and friends forever. Kevin's ability to make a friend out of a stranger was just one of the many qualities that made him so loved. He could easily make the best out of any situation.
Kevin is survived by his loving family, including his sons Memphis, Weston and Sebastian Ruiz; parents Moises and Johbellka Ruiz; brothers Xerxes Ruiz, Christopher Ruiz, William Roman Calero and Franklin Jamil Calero; sister Johbellka Ruiz; beloved fiancée Kaia Dingman; step-daughter Cecilia Culhane and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, all of whom he loved more than anything.
As we say goodbye to Kevin, we celebrate his life and the countless memories he created with all of us. His laughter, love, and legacy will remain in our hearts forever.
